I began my accountancy career in 1973, the same year VAT was introduced, and have spent my entire career in small local accountancy
practices.
I have practised in Hetton le Hole since 1987 and Durham since 1993, and take great satisfaction from serving the
local business community.
As Pullan Barnes is a general practice, my speciality is in forging strong relationships with my clients
and delivering a personal service.
I am married with two daughters, and live on the outskirts of
When not at work I enjoy
playing golf, albeit to a pretty dire standard, but as the well known saying goes, ‘a bad day on the golf course is better than a
good day in the office’.
I am also the
proud owner of a season ticket at the Stadium of Light, which provides me with the perfect antidote to working day stress at weekends,
by replacing it with the unique stress only Sunderland fans have become used to!
