Essentially, the purpose
is to introduce around 15-20 people into a room to hear a presentation by a Pullan Barnes partner or special guest on a particular
topic.
The presentation will take place over breakfast so as not to interfere with the working day too much, and will last about 20 minutes.
The recent topic on the agenda was:
· ‘surviving the recession’
Such
future topics on the agenda might be:
· ‘how to improve cash flow'
· ‘the Pareto principle’
and other interesting and informative topics…….
The presentation will be
aided by power point or slides.
Following the presentation there will be an opportunity for discussion among the guests to share
their experiences on the topic of the month. Being a businessman can sometimes be a lonely occupation, and opportunities to chat through
ideas or problems with other people do not always present themselves.
At these forums, people will have the opportunity to relate
the topic of the day to their own business and explain how they been able to apply it. This opens up a discussion between the people
present and it is quite interesting just how other people’s take on things can open up new lines of thought in others.
Guests
at each meeting will be drawn from existing clients, bank managers, solicitors and businesses who are not existing clients.
In
advance of each forum we will be contacting businesses with invitations to attend, but anyone who would like an invitation should contact
us using any of the contact methods on this site.
There is a small cost to attend to cover breakfast and room hire, but
the benefits of attendance are vastly in excess of the cost.
Our Thanks
Many thanks to all who have participated in ouriN@V8 forums. We have been impressed by the quality of presentations and calibre of attendees.
